Chamber Legislative Watch Council

The Legislative Watch Council (LWC) will work from a strategic standpoint towards sound public policy that enhances local private enterprise and promotes the promise of our region towards healthy economic opportunities. This program will allow the Chamber to be a pivotal force in helping to shape the state’s public policy agenda on key issues relevant to our Membership.

Members of the LWC participate in the following mission:

1) Review legislation to analyze the negative impacts to business and ourcommunity or to identify opportunities to grow business;

2) Participate in the debate about the different pieces of legislation.

3) Discussing what the Chamber’s position should be going forward.

4) Participate in the strategic discussions about how to proceed.

5) Assist in crafting the report on how the legislation that is signed into lawimpacts business and our community.
